Manroland bolsters engineering ranks

The company has added two sheetfed engineers in Sydney, one in Melbourne, and a web technician for its TSC Tele Support Centre.

Stan Presdee (pictured left), a mechanical service engineer based in Sydney, brings three years experience at CPI plus half a dozen years working with gravure and flexo presses in Australia and Asia.

Electrical sheetfed press engineer Sam Sfameni (right), also in Sydney, worked on Komori presses at CPI and ANZPack, and has experience with KBA sheetfed presses and Bobst cutters and gluers.

John Quinlan, an electrical engineer based in Melbourne, was at Heidelberg for more than five years, before which he was at Australian Graphic Services. He also spent around six years in the UK working on web presses.

The fourth new hire, who will work on TSC, has not been named.

Steve Dunwell, manroland Australasia managing director, told ProPrint it was “great to expand the team in Australia”.

“Our customers are really supporting us and as a result of them supporting our new organisation and us working closely to them, we have expanded our service to reduce customer downtime and faster response time and to enable an efficient Printservices business,” he added.
