Melbourne printer experiences flow with Agfa

Ryan Carter, director of Flow Printing says the business has many direct clients in the both fashion and automotive industry who require high quality, colour critical work who are constantly looking for a point of difference.

Rapid growth has seen Flow Printing grow from a staff of 6 to 18. Now the company has two multi colour presses, a 6 colour Roland with coater and a 5 colour Heidelberg 74 CD.

Needing to find a means of getting plates faster to Press and quicker turnarounds, Flow Printing chose Agfa Graphics as their Pre Press partner. Colour control on press requires consistent Pre Press – Plates –Workflow – Proofing.

“It was an absolute breeze” commented Carter on the introduction of in-house Pre Press through Agfa, “We have found Agfa to be a very reliable partner, who we are totally comfortable with, as their products help us achieve the results that our high quality critical customers demand.

The Avalon N-8 12S CtP was installed into a newly built pre press area and Cater adds, the operator has found the Agfa Apogee workflow solution easy to learn, implement and manage.

Flow Printing are running all their jobs on Agfa Sublima Screening which has given them a distinct edge in quality especially as it has overcome any Moree that might have previously been encountered with high screening and intense  pattern work.
