Melbourne trade house takes first Col Tec collator

Col Tec is a UK manufacturer leading in automation with collating systems. Tom Ralph, managing director of Graph-Pak says the machine in question is equipped with 20 Deep Pile feeders which means that a 20 station collator can be operated with only 0ne person opposed to up to six people in previous times.

Models are available also with stitch fold trim as well as inline poly or craft wrapping

The collator features the ability to run signatures from four to 32 page at speeds of 4,000 copies per hour , with the size range it can operate is from 148 x 210mm to 350 x 350mm.

The machine is fitted with automatic knock up belts, which Ralph says delivers perfect registration and maximum outputs , it comes also with a EDC ( exit delivery conveyor ) that features a labour saving feature to produce each set in an offset for easy further processing.
