The mentoring programme, in collaboration with training specialist emberin, receives support from the Aerosol Association, APPMA, LATMA, the SPE and the Packaging Council of New Zealand. AIP says the programme, specifically designed for the packaging industry, offers participants the chance to share lessons, advice, and stories from industry leaders. Designed to support women to reach their career potential, the programme caters for women beginning their career or women who feel their career needs a kick start. The programme provides mentoring in a number of formats: CD, DVD, workbook, and webinars. The CD format features mentoring from Maureen Frank, the programme’s creator. The DVD format has nearly 40 industry experts giving advice on the module topics. The workbook format lets participants work to their own conclusions. Participants form peer mentoring groups to collaborate and support each other. Emberin says it has mentored almost 20,000 women in the programme, which offers measurable results including promotion rates; increased engagement; performance scores, and movement across divisions.
