According to Metromatics, the Vivo! Touch is the first high resolution high speed “intelligent” colour label printer that is capable of printing colour labels on the fly, in high print quality for in-house label printing by end-user manufacturers.

The company adds that the colour label printer uses a 1.6 GHz internal computer to efficiently process large amounts of variable label data and co-ordinate label jobs, printing colour labels in high speeds of 5 ips.

A statement from Metromatics outlines, “The main features of the Vivo! Touch is that it produces colour labels with an excellent print quality and prints them on a fly and at a very low cost per label making it affordable for manufacturers to print their own labels.”

“It will also benefit the manufacturer who require flexibility in their labeling process, both for printing photographic quality labels and labels that require data intense variable information in colour.”

The company describes the new compact colour label printer with LCD touchscreen control panel as the next generation of Vivo! Led Colour Label printing technology, a new platform that will replace the previous Vivo! Model.

According to Metromatics the Vivo! Touch Colour label printing process is also cost effective as it uses toner efficiently, precisely depositing toner only when each dot of cyan, magenta, yellow and black is required in a printed image.

The company concludes that the new printer is ideal for the food, beverage, chemical processing, dietary supplement, electronics, medical and cosmetics industries.
