Milestone for former MAN man, Lange

One of the printing industry’s most well-known personalities , Lange celebrated his 60th birthday in October.

A familiar face ‘down under’ during his time with MAN Roland, Lange visited many a newspaper and commercial printing plant in Australia.

Today, Lange is director of strategic alliances and CEO of Votra SA, Lausanne, Switzerland.

For more than 35 years, Lange has helped to shape the printing industry with his comprehensive knowledge.

Always keen to take on new challenges, Lange joined MAN Roland in 1969 as a planning engineer and after only two years was appointed to the post of executive officer and project manager at Printproject GmbH where he was responsible for planning large printing plants in Europe and overseas.

In 1975 he moved to Ferrostaal AG in Essen where, as consultant engineer, he was responsible for the printing press operations in Latin America, Asia and Australia.

In the early 1980s, Lange was instrumental in the establishment of MAN Roland Planungsgesellschaft Eurografica GmbH in Munich where he was managing director.

At the end of the 1980s he moved to MAN Roland in Offenbach and, in 1991, was appointed to the executive board of MAN Roland Druckmaschinen AG.

Responsible for the sales, service and marketing of sheetfed and web presses, Bielefeld-born Lange played an important role in guiding the company’s activities throughout the 1990s.

As CEO of MAN Roland’s subsidiary company, Votra SA, Lange has been responsible for developing the systems trading business since 1999.
