Miyakoshi, Ryobi team up on B2 unit

The sheetfed Digital Press 8000 is currently capable of 8,000 sheets per hour (sph), although the company expects this to increase to 10,000sph in the future. It prints at 1,200dpi.

“With this press we are addressing the demand for a fast digital press capable of complete variable data applications and with quality that can come extremely close to that of offset,” said sales manager Takeshi Amano.

The press is based on the same technology as the MD-Press 1260, a continuous-feed web press.

The company is also demonstrating the latest in its MJP series of inkjet printers. The Inkjet Printer 7000 can print at up to 320m/min at 1,200dpi.

Miyakoshi is seeking global distributors and partners for both machines.

Miyakoshi’s new B2 digital press was developed in conjunction with Ryobi.
