New Speedmaster making an impact says Heidelberg

Alastair Hadley, general manager sales and marketing at Heidelberg ANZ says the CX press which is price positioned between the CD model and the peak performance XL series will be the ideal replacement for those companies with ageing CD presses and companies who are not able to take advantage of the sheet size or the higher speed of the XL press.

He says, “The CX comes with a higher level of automation than a CD press, which means shorter make-readies and the higher speed of 16,500sph will also provide increased productivity and is the ideal machine to sit alongside the well proven Speedmaster long perfectors.”

Also commenting, Stephan Plenz, member of the Heidelberg management board, responsible for equipment says the high demand from customers confirms Heidelberg is on the right track with its strategy of rounding up its portfolio in the 70 x 100 cm format range.

Plenz says, “The Speedmaster SM, CD, CX, and XL models offer our customers the right solution for every press speed and level of productivity, regardless of whether the print shops specialize in advertising or packaging printing.”
