NPA extends entry deadline

The National Print Awards has extended the entry deadline to January 30 as printers grappling with the busy pre-Christmas period are unable to meet the tight deadline.

The deadline had been set for the end of this week on December 12 and the seven-week reprieve will allow businesses to get their entries together during the January lull in production.

NPA chairwoman Susan Heaney says even the most ardent supporters wondered whether they had time to properly prepare their work.

“It’s a busy time of year for us all, and since the announcement, we’ve had lots of feedback requesting extra time to get entries together. So we’ve talked to our Judging panel, amended our timetable and arranged for the deadline to be extended,” she says.

The revamped awards cut categories 33 to 25 by amalgamating some subcategories and abolishing some altogether, and reverted to a direct entry model for the 2015 edition.

Entries will be judged in February by an expert judging panel headed up by Luke Wooldridge and medal winners will be announced at the National Print Awards Presentation Dinner in Sydney on May 15, 2015 during the PrintEx 15 exhibition.

Entry forms and category information are available from the NPA website.
