Numbers up for NSW PICAs

A greater use of innovation and a higher standard of entries have been the hallmarks of this year’s NSW PICA’s judging.

Joe Kowalewski, national director of communications and marketing, Printing Industries says, “This is a great result considering that the industry is still undergoing consolation and we had expected a slight fall in numbers rather than a slight increase.”

Kowalewski says, “We have also had entries from several first time companies and a far greater emphasis on innovation and high quality production – both characteristics that were not as evident in 2011.”

He says, “I think the summary from our judges standards, innovation and the impact of digital printing will make for interesting listening at the awards dinner.”

The presentation dinner will be held in the Parkside Ballroom at the Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour on November 2.
