Oceanic makes a move

The business, which imports over 30,000 tonne of newsprint and exports over 65,000 tonnes of paper to be recycled, annually to Indonesia, has relocated within Sydney.

The 14-year-old international trading company left Lane Cove to take up new premises at Frenchs Forest.

“Oceanic had to move because of office space – and also company profile,” explains sales manager Bruce Burgess. “We currently employ 15 people – it was seven just four years ago. The company has the naming rights for the building and we now have space to employ a further eight people.”

Owner and founder Nisin Sunito was recently appointed to the AIBC, a business council which assists and promotes Australian/Indonesian businesses.

Oceanic has obtained three clients through the AIBC in the last 18 months, which provides contact and a forum where names and products can be promoted.

Oceanic’s paper imported into Australia includes primary PT Aspects 45gsm, fully recyclable newsprint and uncoated wood-free papers ranging from 60 to 120gsm used for form printing, newspaper liftouts and envelope manufacture.
