Pacific Magazines utilises WoodWing software in new title

Pacific Magazines, the publishing arm of Australia’s largest television network – the Seven Network -currently publishes more than one in four magazines sold in Australia – including two of the top three biggest selling weekly titles.

Fraser Crozier, Business Liaison Manager at Pacific Magazines says, “We’ve been using WoodWing for our editorial processes since 2007 so when it came time to launch Prevention we chose to do so with Enterprise 6 and Content Station.”

He continues, “The software has proven to be relatively simple to deploy throughout our divisions in Australia and New Zealand, and we are looking forward to ongoing rollouts. With the recent upgrades to version 6 of WoodWing Enterprise, there are a number of additional value add propositions that can be exploited out-of-box.”

Andrew Lomas, project/sales director of Creative Folks – which is an integrator and distributor of WoodWing in Australia – says, “Pacific Magazines were the first company to implement WoodWing in Australia. After the successful completion of the WoodWing pilot in Who Magazine, other titles were earmarked for rollout, commencing in early 2008. The rollout is ongoing.”

Also commenting, Matthew Green, managing director of Creative Folks, “We have enjoyed working closely on this project with the people at Pacific Magazines. The invaluable assistance of Pacific Magazines’ team of IT and publishing experts, and the unwavering acceptance of the editorial and design staff, ensured the project would be a success.”
