Pack Print International stalls announced

The hosts of Pack Print International unveiled a list of key exhibitors for the show, including HP, Koenig & Bauer, Konica Minolta, Duplo, Bobst and Ferrostaal.

Taking place in Bangkok, Thailand from September 20-23, the sixth edition of the trade show is modelled after drupa and interpack and jointly organised by the Thai Packaging Association, the Thai Printing Association and Messe Düsseldorf Asia.

The organisers say there will be 300 leading exhibitors from 20 countries, including national and country groups from Germany, organised by VDMA with approved funding from the Federal Republic of Germany, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Japan and for the first time, Singapore.

Also exhibiting will be Fuji Xerox, Riso, Cyber SM, BST Eltromat, BPS United, PMC Label Materials, Keywell Industrial, Rotometrics, Kurz, Zund Asia, Nakayama Corporation, Tsukatani, MBA International, Harn Engineering, and Ricoh.

Fritz Kistler, managing director Thailand, Ferrostaal says, “As a well-organised exhibition, Pack Print International has provided us with a strategic platform to present Ferrostaal Thailand and our partners’ products to keen trade buyers and audiences from the region.”

The organisers note that Asian markets are driving growth in global packaging, including Asia’s expansive labels market.

With packaging already an essential everyday item in developed markets, emerging markets are set to provide most of the demand heading forward, according to Smither’s Pira report The Future of Global Packaging to 2020. It says the market for global packaging amounted to US$812bn in 2014, and is forecast to grow at an annual rate of 3.5 per cent to reach US$998bn by 2020, largely driven by Asia.

Smithers Pira’s The Future of Printed Labels Market to 2019 also presents Asia poised to be the largest regional producer of labels with its share expected to grow to more than 41 per cent of the world’s value by 2019.
