PacPrint on target for numbers

At special exhibitor briefings held in Melbourne and Sydney the PacPrint sales manager Paul Baker told the assembled suppliers that 92 per cent of the 15,000sqm of floorspace had been sold, which was only 47sqm behind the figure for the same time four years ago, and he fully expected to sell out.

Baker also said he had signed up some 170 exhibitors, and expected to sign a further 100-130 in the next three moths, mainly to those smaller companies looking for shell stands. PacPrint 05 had 300 exhibitors.

Brian Thomas, the show director told the exhibitors that the average size of a trade show in Australia was 2,500sqm, which made PacPrint six times bigger, and he said that PacPrint was one of the top five trade shows in the country.

PacPrint 2009 will build on several of the new features included in the previous show, including the Forums, with speakers and facilitators due to be announced soon. The Forums will cover three topics; Visions for the Future, Environment, and Future Leadership.

The show will be held on May 26-30 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. The 2005 event attracted almost 20,000 visitors.
