Grays Online isauctioning printing equipment, warehouse equipment, office equipment and miscellaneous items from the now defunct Paragon.
The Paragon auction is online, it begins on Jan 28 and finishes on Feb 2, and features the full gamut of print equipment. The full catalogue will appear on Jan 28, but the major print production items are already online and available to view,
Star item in the Paragon auction is a 2005 Heidelberg SM 102-10-P ten colour perfecting press with 245 million impressions on the clock, for which expressions of interest are requested. Up for auction is a 2006 Heidelberg XL 105-6+L, six-colour press with 183 million impressions and an older two-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster HD102ZP.
A swag of finishing kit including binder, stitchers and folders mainly from Muller Martini, Polar and Stahlo is up for auction, along with CTP unit and several wide format printing units.
Paragon, which was Canberra’s biggest independently owned printer, went broke at the end of last year owing $3.3m.
Blue Star Display has also been auctioning kit on Grays Online, mainly office equipment, racking, and a trio of roll-to-roll printers from its Padstow facility.
