The latest printer is the roll-to-roll Vivex UV-LED, available in 1600mm
and 3200mm versions, and a type of printer that PDA’s sales manager Warren
Davey says is popular overseas but has not yet reached Australia.

He says, “Liquid cooled UV-LED systems consume one seventh the power,
last more than twenty times longer, turn on instantly, give no heat transfer to
media, no VOCs, no ozone, no mercury, there is no glass to break and they are
quiet, when compared to UV Arc Lamps.”

The Vivex UV-LED prints colour with white and clear configured for
processing in the same passes. Davey says, “Suddenly you have a roll to roll
printer with most or even more capabilities than UV flatbeds and hybrids. It
produces super print quality at 26 sqm an hourand more, with an outdoor
durability that requires no laminating.”

PDA has been selling the Vivex 1600 to 3200mm wide printers in the
Australian market for the past three years three years. Davey says, “The new
UV-LED versions provide flexibility and performance that is a change in the
Australian market.”

As part of the
release promotion PDA is offering factory backed discount pricing and extended
warranties for orders placed before June 30.
