Personalised print project on JetStream up and running

The newspaper is offering readers a chance to position themselves or their family on the front page of its morning editions, to celebrate their birthday, their graduation ceremony or any other event which is considered worthy of broadcasting to the world complete with headline and photograph.

The personalised print project is being run on an Océ JetStream inkjet printer, which Océ says allows Beliner Zeitung to print off runs for any customers who want to get themselves in print.

Robert Koeckeis, Océ’s leading expert on the company’s Océ JetStream range, says users of the service will be charged a modest fee for the setting up and then a charge per copy.

He says, “The idea is that you print off a number of copies and then send them to relatives or friends. The front page items surrounding your announcement are exactly the same as in the regular newspaper.”

Koeckeis continues, “Now everyone can have their fifteen minutes of fame, even if it is for a limited audience.”
