PIAA moves to Chatswood

The Printing Industry Association of Australia (PIAA) has sold its national headquarters site in Auburn, and has made the official move to its Chatswood offices.

PIAA chief executive Jason Allen did not confirm the price the Auburn site was sold for, however he revealed it was ‘sold for more that we purchased.’

The new offices are located at Level 3, 9 Help Street, Chatswood, and Allen says there are hot desks available to any members travelling in Sydney to make use of.

Allen says the move is part of the PIAA’s efforts to build a stronger association with industry members and to provide a suitable home base for print.

“Our new premises are part of our evolution that requires us to simplify and consolidate our operations in order to be better partners for our members and industry stakeholders, grow our services network and realise our full potential,” he says.

The PIAA has also recorded a ‘bumper membership month’ for November, with 46 per cent of its entire 2015 new member subscriptions joining this month.

Allen says the boost in membership is reflective of the business transformation currently underway, which includes new service offerings and reporting systems as well as the recent change in leadership and headquarters.

According to Allen, some of the money from the Auburn sale will be spent to update the association’s CRM system, and on undisclosed new projects.
