PIAA seeks printers for sustainability pilot

The trade body is working with the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water to develop the workshop with a view to helping businesses reduce energy use at by least 20%.

Simon Peppercorn, Printing Industries’ national manager of learning and development, said the association’s Sustainable Green Print (SGP) program last year revealed that the majority of printing companies in NSW had yet to establish effective energy conservation procedures.

“Once developed, we will be offering this workshop free to the first 50 printing companies,” he said.

“After that, depending on demand, this workshop will be available to SGP participants as an optional module to the SGP training program, at a cost to be determined.”
