Joe Kowalewski, national director communication, technology and creative services with the PIAA, says the webinar is part of a new series of webinars and other media the PIAA will run this year focussing on commercial and technical aspects of running a printing business. He says, “Printing Industries’ webinar programme, along with a range of other knowledge based services we are rolling out to our members, is part of a strategy to ensure they have the support and information necessary to successfully transition their businesses in the new world of digital communication. “In the emerging multi-channel communication world there is much to learn by industry companies planning for their futures, positioning and integrating print with other digital mediums and changing business models to suit these conditions.” Simon Phillips, of digital marketing consultancy Dejan SEO, will host the webinar on February 26 to explain how printing companies using online marketing for themselves or for their customers can assess its effectiveness. The 30 minute webinar will be followed by a Q&A session. Topics include:

  • An overview of what to measure and why – organic and PPC
  • Important KPI’s – rankings, traffic, authority (trust) and citations
  • History of Google data and the future
  • The funnel – the process of creating a sale / inquiry and how this impacts data (attribution)
  • Google Analytics and Google Webmaster tools – an overview – key phrases, annotation, ‘not provided’ data and more
  • Tools that can help
