Pitney Bowes launches fast, high-res envelope printer

The DP40S digital printer, which was introduced to Australian audiences at a launch event in Sydney on 24 June, aims to open up the personalised and promotional envelope printing market.

Pitney Bowes said the printer has already been successful in the US market. It can reach speeds of 60 envelopes per minute with a resolution of 1,200dpi.

Michelle Sheehan, marketing director for Pitney Bowes Australia, said the company had identified a need among digital printers to diversify and the DP40S would allow smaller business to add envelope printing to their repertoire.

“The launch of the new colour digital printer from Pitney Bowes represents a new standard of colour printing and envelope messaging for Australian printing firms,” she said.

“We look forward to demonstrating the unique capabilities of the DP40S to printing firms that are seeking tailored envelope content printing and the ability to customise promotional mail on behalf of their customers.”

It also launched the Connect+ postage meter series at the event. The range gives businesses the opportunity to produce a high-quality, one-pass print while applying postage.

“For companies seeking the maximum return from their mail, the Connect+ series system delivers a range of benefits,” added Sheehan.
