Print businesses bite the dust

Road Signs Australia, Biz Media, and Revesby Print & Mail have been placed in liquidation, with another business Posh Printing in administration as the industry continues to be under the siege from smaller margins.

The four companies span the country, with Road Signs Australia based in WA, Biz Media in Queensland, Posh in the Sydney CBD, and Revesby Print & Mail also in Sydney. Both Biz Media and Road Signs were placed in liquidation on the same day.

Road Signs Australia produced road signage, alongside hand/grab rails, cones, and called itself Western Australia’s leading company for the supply and installation of road traffic signage of all types. The liquidators, Palisade Business Consulting, have called for creditors to provide proof of debt by August 7, with a first and final dividend set for September 14.

Biz Media, which traded as Biz Promo, was in the letterbox delivery game, offering distribution across all states, with its heaviest concentration in Sydney, regional NSW, and Melbourne, and its surrounding hubs.

Posh Printing, the biggest player of the four, is continuing to trade as the administrators, Worrells, seek proof of debt by July 23. It is across wide-format, stationery, corporate print work, alongside standard commercial print offerings.

Revesby Print & Mail has had a long process, with liquidators originally being appointed in 2016, with a creditors meeting taking place two years later, scheduled for August.

  1. Road Signs Australia went into liquidation over 12 months ago which explains why a Final Dividend is being paid. The business was taken over by RSA Signs Pty Ltd which has now also gone into liquidation. It appears there is nothing left to be sold.
