Printers to profit from Radiaca

Print businesses can now offer their publishing clients a service that enables their print ready files to be converted for smartphone and tablet consumption.

The world first technology – Partica – takes all the elements of the PDF and reformats them to be viewed on mobile platforms. It is developed by a new Australian joint venture company Radiaca.

Printers will be able to sell the service to their publishing clients, all of whom are looking to serve their magazines, annual reports, brochures, guides and catalogues on mobile digital platforms. No current technology offers publishers this opportunity.

Shankar Vishwanath, co-founder of Radiaca and CEO of PMG, says, "We recognise that print is here to stay and a vital piece of marketing communication. To keep pace with how the market consumes information, digital and mobile solutions are critical. Radiaca aims to bring all the three verticals together to provide a seamless solution.

“As the printing industry has declined over the past five years, with consumers increasingly seeking solutions through online platforms, Radiaca will help positively grow the print sector by tapping into new revenue streams and new ways of consuming print media.””

Richard Lindley, chief technology officer at Radiaca says, “To keep up with a rapidly changing industry, printers need to rethink how their brand is perceived in the marketplace and embrace new technologies that will provide a value add to customers while generating new revenue streams.

Already mobile technology – smartphones and tablets – has become the primary means by which the public consumes media. This new technology will enable printers to cash in on that move by providing the means for them to enable their client’s publications to get onto mobile platforms in a mobile friendly way.

Lindley says, “This is not the flipbooks that are currently used by publishers to go digital, they only work in a desktop environment, Partica is a dedicated mobile technology., taking the elements of the PDF and reformatting it for mobile –meeting a real and strong demand from publishers.

Lindley, also CEO of Realview, says, “It combines existing technologies and processes to open up new business opportunities for printers. It delivers a personalised digital experience directly to the consumer through their mobile, providing content such as magazines, annual reports, brochures, guides and catalogues. This is the way of the future.”

Partica is the first solution to come from Radiaca, a new joint venture between award winning technology developer Realview and Printer Magazines Group, publisher of Australian Printer

New joint venture company Radiaca will develop further emerging technologies into profit producing solutions for printers eager to exploit the growing digital market. The venture will commercialise a range of emerging print technologies that will catapult the print sector into a new era of innovation and growth at a time of significant disruption.

This announcement comes at a time when Radiaca co-founder Realview is carving out a cutting-edge reputation as leaders and disruptors in the mobile tech space. Last month, Realview was listed in EContent’s top 100 global digital influencers list for their innovative mobile tech solutions. In 2017, the company have their sights set upon expansion into New Zealand and South-East Asia.
