Printers winning at Catalogue Awards

Access Print Solutions, Acorn Press, AIW, Bambra Press, Blueprint Australia, Franklin, IPMG, Lighthouse Print Group, PMP, and Spectrum Print all won awards at the Australasian Catalogue Awards.

The Australasian Catalogue Association (ACA) hosted its 25th Annual ACA Awards on Friday night, recognising expertise and excellence in catalogue and letterbox marketing.

Whilst there are seven main print groups producing large volume catalogues for Australia and New Zealand, commercial printers are now producing and entering shorter run catalogues that are either distributed by addressed mail or as newspaper inserts.

Retailers, creatives, agencies, printers and distributors comprised the record 722 guests. Hosted at Crown Palladium, Melbourne and affectionately referred to in the industry as the ‘Catalogies’, guests celebrated one of Australia and New Zealand’s most effective and resilient media channels

Kellie Northwood, chief executive officer, ACA says “With an audience reach higher than any other media channel at 19.8 million and readership at 77 per cent Australian and New Zealand consumers love catalogues.

“The humble catalogue remains entirely relevant, and stable circulation volumes demonstrate that.”

Craig Dower ACA chairman and CEO of Salmat says, “Catalogue and letterbox marketing is a progressive channel. Embracement of digital technologies, targeted circulation and customised pagination are only a selection of the key attributes of our channel – all focused on customer engagement. Remaining true to the core strengths of catalogue marketing delivers strong brand equity and effectiveness for retailers and brands which ensures a strong future for the industry.”
