Printgraphics printgreen on new Komori

Printgraphics Directors Ray Keen and Mark Terrill and the team were joined by Mr Toshiyasu Kubotera and Mr Fumihiko ‘Bazza’ Takahashi from Komori, Gerard Wintle from new Komori agents Ferrostaal, and a host of clients, family and friends, all keen to take their first look at the new press in action.

Guest of honour was, of course, the company’s new ten-colour perfector, a perfect fit for the company whose motto is printgreen – happily, a ten-letter term which is easily emblazoned on the side of the new machine.

In officially launching the press, Mr Kubotera outlined features like low noise levels, reduced power requirements and ozone emissions, alcohol-free dampening and solvent-free washup, automated plate-change for fast makeready with minimal waste, saying “Printgraphics is the ideal customer for what we want, and what we provide.”

For his part, Keen emphasised print’s important role in today’s multi-channel media mix. “My strong belief is that print works,” he said simply, adding that the strong environmental credentials of print and paper – combined with the performance of this new press – means customers “can feel good about having your next job printed on this press.”
