Printovation Awards 2011 entries closing soon

According to GASAA the Printovation Awards are a celebration of innovation, creativity and high quality in print, and are returning for their second year in 2011. The awards celebrate and reward Australian print professionals pushing the boundaries of print at a consistently high standard across five categories including wide format, offset/web, digital (non-variable), digital (variable) and general.

GASAA is calling on all printing companies to enter their work for these prestigious awards. If your print company is doing all of these things, then the Printovation judges want to see your work. The judges will be looking for printers who combined a number of different techniques, both technical and strategic, to create an original concept.

This year, to assist companies in entering these brand new awards a list of tips have been compiled to help entries stand out. Judges advise entrants to keep their entries concise and focused. The judges also recommend drawing on the entire team when executing entries. Account managers may be able to best describe client expectations, whilst production professionals can explain the techniques used and the degree of difficulty.  Finally, triple check all work and give the judges quality work to look at, make sure work it is in top condition, and has with it the original artwork.

More tips and tricks, and do’s and don’ts can be found online, so check printovation.gasaa.asn.au to get your entry in.
