QLD print company major stadium sponsor

Central Queensland printer BB Print has acquired the naming rights to a major stadium in Mackay after three months of negotiations.

Previously named after Virgin Australia, Stadium Mackay will now be known as BB Print Stadium Mackay in a 4 year deal, after the print company won sponsorship rights from the regional council and stadium developer CAS.

BB Print partner Kathy Farren-Price says the sponsor partnership was a bid to enhance the company’s position in the local community.

“We are thrilled to have naming rights and are passionate about locals supporting locals,” says Farren-Price.

“It’s innovation that drives BB Print and a passion for our local community. In terms of sponsorship support we always loos to what the direct contribution will be on a local level.”

The sponsorship deal does not involve a contract for BB to print for the stadium, however Farren-Price says if there is work to be done BB Print will offer a competitive price.

In a niche area, BB Print manages to operate as one of few successful printers, and says business is going quite well.

“In terms of the print downturn that’s hitting the industry, we are doing really well,” she says.

“Business has stayed fairly steady, and it all comes down to working hard within the local community.”

The Mackay business offers printing services ranging from colour work through to carbonless books, graphic design and web design, and says it is the only printer on the north Sunshine Coast with a level 2 of sustainable green print.

BB Print was established in 1992, and has 20 employees at its central Queensland location.
