Quality Print assets to be sold off

Head liquidator Mike Lamacraft from Meltzer Mason Heath told ProPrint he expected the Quality premises to be empty by the end of the week.

“The equipment is being sold by the secured lender with assistance from the director of Quality Print Services and other machinery sellers,” Lamacraft said.

“The company could not be sold as a going concern.”

Lamacraft added that based on “the information currently available there will be no funds for unsecured creditors”.

Quality Print Services entered voluntary liquidation on 9 March. The business had been continuing to trade while liquidators searched for a buyer.

“A combination of falling turnover and high finance costs contributed to the failure [of the business],” Lamacraft said.

Quality Print Services was founded as Quality Press and Screenprint in 1987 by husband and wife team Alan and Sandra Crawford. The company produced business cards, envelopes, letterheads, books, forms, folders, brochures, packaging, and labels.
