Quality Print Services liquidators hopeful of sale

Meltzer Mason Heath was appointed as voluntary liquidators at the South Auckland-based printer on 9 March due to “falling turnover and high finance costs”.

Head liquidator Mike Lamacraft told ProPrint that four people had been made redundant.

The company is continuing to trade in order to complete “a few small projects for clients”, said Lamacraft.

Lamacraft added that Meltzer Mason Heath was trying to “generate some interest in the business” by continuing to trade, with a full sale of the company and its assets still possible.

“We are currently assessing the best means of realising the assets for the benefit of creditors,” Lamacraft said.

“A combination of falling turnover and high finance costs contributed to the failure [of the business],” he added.

Quality Print Services was founded as Quality Press and Screenprint in 1987 by husband and wife team Alan and Sandra Crawford. The company produces business cards, envelopes, letterheads, books, forms, folders, brochures, packaging, and labels.

Crawford declined to comment when contacted by ProPrint.
