Queensland welcomes its first sustainable green printer

Heaneys Performers in Print was a participant in Queensland’s pilot group of businesses trialling SGP for the Industry. The company was audited by external auditing firm, Compliance Australia. Sustainable Green Print has gained significant support in Queensland with almost 20 businesses now on the journey to SGP certification, according to Printing Industries.

Sustainable Green Print is the Australian printing industry’s own recognisable certification programme designed to help printing companies meet their environmental responsibilities and go above and beyond compliance.

The Association continues, based on an ISO14001 framework, SGP is tailored to meet business requirements, the demands of customers and the changing trends in dealing with environmental responsibility. This multi-level system gives printing businesses a choice of four linked achievement levels including ISO 14001 (Level 3 SGP) allowing printers to choose their participation and progress levels.
