Printers interested to know all there is about drupa 2016 have until tomorrow to register for the only Australian briefing session on next Wednesday at the Sydney Opera House, PIAA says. The association says it has organised the combined visitor and media briefing to give attendees a rare glimpse into what to expect from the world’s biggest printing industry trade fare. Markus Heering, managing director of the VDMA Printing and Paper Technology Associations will join Dornscheidt – as each presents on aspects of the exhibition during a whistle-stop world tour – spending only one day in Australia. Travel and airline information will also be available and all attendees will receive specially prepared drupa information packs. The speakers are also expected to provide an insight into how the exhibition is re-positioning itself through the inclusion of new technologies affecting almost all aspects of print including traditional print, functional printing, packaging production, multichannel, 3D printing and green printing. The cocktail style briefing will be held in the Utzon Room at Sydney Opera House from 6-8pm on Wednesday, October 7. Staged in Düsseldorf drupa will run for 11 days from May 31 to June 10, 2016. Attendees must pre-register by Thursday October 1 via this link.
