Ricoh launches Total Green Office

The company describes TGOS as “a consultative service which helps businesses eliminate inefficiencies, reduce their carbon footprint and adopt a more sustainable business through detailed reporting on CO2 emissions, power consumption, and paper use”.

“Climate change is such an important issue,” said Ricoh Australia managing director Les Richardson. “We want to demonstrate how business, and specifically ours, can positively influence and educate the market in best practice green office solutions.”

“In addition, it ensures that Ricoh imaging equipment meets green procurement mandates and is designed to minimise environmental impact at every lifecycle stage. We want to work towards a low carbon economy.”

The company kicked off its Let’s Do Lunch series of events in Sydney last week, with similar events to take place in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra and Brisbane throughout the next few weeks. Ricoh says it will completely offset the carbon emissions for the events, which will feature a presentation from Climate Project’s Randall Pearce based on Al Gore’s famous presentation on climate change.
