Ricoh makes top end move

DPS has a long history as a key Ricoh dealer, providing organisations with end-to-end print solutions throughout this time. The acquisition of the business signifies Ricoh Australia’s focus to offer customers across the country with complete and comprehensive services and? solutions.

Les Richardson, managing director Ricoh Australia says, “We believe that the Northern Territory will be one of the strongest growth areas ?in Australia over the next 10 years. When the opportunity arose, it was a simple decision to acquire DPS – through them we have had a successful and long standing relationship with the Territory.

“This acquisition offers an excellent opportunity to expand our consulting and document management solutions to Australia’s top end,” Richardson added.

The move fits into one of Ricoh’s key strategies of going to market with print as a service,  so expanding its managed documents services ?activities is a major plank in this strategy. Ricoh already has more than a dozen major customers, including the likes of Woolworths, for whom it manages all their internal print and document requirements.
