Ricoh to focus on business development at Drupa

The digital manufacturer used last week’s Drupa International Media Conference in Düsseldorf to announce an expansion of the Ricoh Business Driver Programme – although the initiative is currently not being rolled out in Australia.

The program, originally introduced at Ipex 2010, is a suite of education and training services to help Ricoh customers build business.

According to Ricoh, “The online portal will include new market intelligence reports, e-learning courses and services to support business transformation and print application development.

“It also allows members to connect with a community of leading consultants, Ricoh business specialists and other users through blogs and online networking tools.”

Meanwhile, the vendor will also demonstrate its latest machine for the CAD and professional market, the Aficio CW 2200SP.

The printer, which features Ricoh’s liquid gel ink, is targeting clients in manufacturing, architecture, engineering and construction, regional planning, building and product design.

Visitors to the stand will also be able to see its range of machines for the commercial print market, including the InfoPrint 5000 continuous-feed inkjet printer as well as the Pro C901 and Pro C751, which will also appear in the halls of partner Heidelberg, rebadged as the LinoPrint C range.
