Ricoh’s Pro C900 arriving in Sydney

Ricoh has high hopes for the Pro C900, and is making significant investment in its Production and Business Solutions division to support the new printer. It is demolishing and rebuilding its city centre demonstration suite in Sydney, it has a new national sales and service structure, and it has brought in Kathy Wilson, formerly a high flyer with EFI in California, as its new general manager.

Mark Katrakis, national sales manager for production at Ricoh says, “The level of investment being made by Ricoh clearly demonstrates the company’s intent in production colour printing.”

The Ricoh Pro C900 is the company’s first entry into production colour. It uses a fair amount of Hitachi technology, and in fact is the first fruits of the integration of Hitachi within Ricoh. It prints 90 A4 sheets a minute in colour, uses a Fiery rip for colour management, and has an 11,000 sheet capacity. Sheet size is up to SRA3, with a stock range of 60-300gsm

Katrakis  says, “The new Pro C900 will appeal due to its consistent speed and image quality.”
