Roland appoints new business development manager

Print manufacturer Roland DG has chosen its new business development manager for the ASEAN region, Daryl Leonard Rio.

Rio will be based in Singapore already working in his new position. Roland says he will work with the company’s partners to support its expansion throughout the region.

Most recently, Rio worked for two years as business development manager Asia Pacific for software company Aurelon Asia, where he worked closely with distributors, building relationships and looking for new business opportunities, and achieving growth in new markets.

Rio has many years of experience in the wide format printing industry in Asia. He has previously been responsible for customer support, sales and distribution in the region where he worked as regional application engineer for ColourGate Digital Output Solutions and Barbieri Electronic, providing technical training to distributors and end users and supporting key accounts.

Roland says its footprint in the ASEAN region has continued to grow in recent years and Rio’s local knowledge and experience with regional manufacturers will further enhance this expansion and he explores new market opportunities for Roland DG.

Recently, Roland DG announced its Mobile Imagination Centre will be visiting regional locations in Far North Queensland at the end of the month, it will be heading to Cairns, Mackay and Townsville.
