Roland DG completes expansion of Japanese wide-format plant

The expansion was completed on schedule, nine months after work began in March 2008, and introduces automating processes and technologies that mean a single employee can take a product from start to finish, minimising human error and controlling stock levels, the company said.

The facility has also been upgraded to reduce its environmental impact with roof and wall insulation and energy-efficient air conditioning, as well as measures to reduce vulnerability to earthquakes.
