Ryobi launches new B2 series

Cheong says, “Makeready is cut to the bone, which also means waste sheets are minimised, down to 30 is possible. Plate changing simultaneous, blanket washing is quicker, idling speed is faster. This press is ideally suited to the Australian market with its short run lengths.”

Ryobi was also showing its 780E, which Cheong says has a reduced footprint, he says, “The five colour version of the 780E takes the same floor space as a four-colour German press.”

The best selling Ryobi in Australia is the 920 series, which is an SRA1 press, and at Ipex a new LED UV feature was launched. Cheong says, “LED provides all the pros of UV but without any of the cons. There is n impact on the ozone layer, no odour, and it does not need high power consumption.”

According to Cheong the popularity of the 920 series is in its format size, which is eight-up A4, he says, “Many printers have no need for the additional printing size of a B1 40” press. There are other benefits apart from cost savings, which include footprint, it is only a foot longer and three centimetres wider than the 750G, and its power and consumables costs are lower than a B1 press.”
