SCLAA and AIP pack 600 hampers

Members spent three hours packing the hampers and it was a culmination of twelve months work and over $60,000 worth of foods raised to go inside the hampers.

Each hamper is made up of food and personal hygiene products, worth $100. In the three years the SCLAA and AIP have packed 18000 hampers to the value of over $180,000.

The APPMA was part of the program for the first time this year.

Kevin McMillan, general manager, Foodbank Queensland says, “The 600 hampers will be distributed to families in crisis at Christmas time and whiles none of you will ever meet those people you should be proud of what you have done for them.”
