Screen digital label press pulls the punters

Peter Scott, managing director of Screen Australia says, “At 50 metres a minute with Screen’s reputation for engineering excellence the new press was certain to be a drawcard, I just underestimated how many printers would be on the stand.”

Scott says the UV press will print onto a range of off the shelf media, with no need to prime it first. He says, It is UV ink so in theory should print on virtually anything.

Web width on the new digital label press is variable between 100-350mm, with a wide gamut of inks. Screen is looking at inline finishing, although Scott says most people have told him they would stick with off line.

Screen also had its Jetpress 520 inkjet web on the floor.
