Equiosnet builds on the firm’s Trueflownet CTP workflow but is capable of handling variable data.

It goes further than many hybrid workflows’ ability to switch jobs between offset and digital, as it can, depending on run length, manage mixed production by digitally personalising sheets pre-printed using litho.

It will be the workflow for Screen’s new sheetfed B2 digital press the Truepress Jet SX.

Equios is one of the first workflows announced to support the new Adobe PDF Print Engine 2 (APPE 2), which adds variable data processing in conjunction with PDF/VT, the new personalised print version of PDF.

This builds on Screen’s relationship with Adobe and early adoption of the original APPE in Trueflow.
