SDS shows best of graphic arts

SDS director Gary Smith says they will show several innovations from Kodak, ColorGate, Seal Graphics and their own SDS range, as well as launching two new products at the finishing end.

The new products are the first ever 55” (1400mm) economy laminator/mounter for under $15,000 from Seal Graphics, and a 54” (1372) AquaSeal liquid Signcoater which puts a smooth gloss coat onto solvent or eco-solvent printed materials. This coating provides extra UV, abrasion and chemical protection up to two years.

SDS will also release four new inkjet substrates from Kodak, and the Kodak 260gsm Lustre/Gloss photographic quality paper will be on show.

“We will also have samples of a new clear film for making screen separations using inkjet printers,” says Smith. “This will be marketed under our own SDS brand and delivers high density film separations used in screen printing, at a fraction of the cost of other methods.”

Other new products at the SDS stand at Visual Impact will be: the Kodak 1200i system, and FilmGate and FotoFusion software from ColorGate.

SDS is on booths 118 and 151-152 at Visual Impact, Sydney Exhibition Centre September 1 – 3.
