The judges for the Australian Sign and Graphics Awards are made up from a pool of independent judges. Each Judge is selected based on their skills and knowledge in a particular field within the Sign and Graphic industry.
Judges will have full rights to select appropriate entries for each of the medal categories. They are under no obligation to award gold, silver or bronze in each and every category. The awards are based on merit and should the judges see fit, they may award more than one of the medals or none of the medals in any category.
Categories include:
- Vinyl – non-digital
- Vehicle wraps – digital and non-digital
- Airbrushing or hand painted murals
- Traditional sign craft skills
- Showcard skills
- Screen printing
- Rotary engraving
- Laser engraving
- Router output
- Carving/sculpture
- Fabrication
- Neon bending and lighting effects
- Illumination
- Digital print output
- Original in-house design concept
- Directional, wayfinding and statutory signage
- Self promotion
- Work by an apprentice/trainee
- Industry training and development award
