Five new categories were added for this round to showcase the applications of the Iridesse production press and its specialty colour and applications, Fuji Xerox Australia says.

Fuji Xerox says Australian customers excelled in a diverse range of categories with Snap Circular Quay winning in multiple categories including the use of specialty colours of metallic and white with their work on the Iridesse press. They also achieved first place in the catalogues category.

“To be recognised across the region as a standout in two categories is incredibly exciting for our team and of course our customers,” Cook said.

“Receiving two first place awards in the Fuji Xerox PIXI Awards has enabled us to showcase the type of output we’re now producing in an evolving market.”

Fuji Xerox senior marketing manager Roger Labrum said the PIXI Awards are a great opportunity to reward the company’s customers who use the technology in interesting ways.

“The PIXI Awards is an opportunity to reward our customer’s expertise in using technology in innovative and interesting ways that lead to the creation of fantastic applications, designed for a purpose and providing business benefits for their clients,” Labrum said.

“We are very pleased to see that our customers in Australia have once again performed well at this year’s Award”.

Submissions for the PIXI Awards were evaluated using the crieria of print quality, appropriate use of digital technology, innovation, business effectiveness and overall aesthetics.

An independent panel of expert printing industry professionals assessed each entry to decide on the winning pieces for the 2018 awards.

“2018 PIXI Awards have far exceeded what we expected in terms of superb quality,” Paul Callaghan, head of the 2018 PIXI Awards judging panel, said.

“Just how much the silver, gold, special colours and combined in some cases with offline application technologies have now taken flight in our industry.

“2018 PIXI Awards was a real eye openeder for us, so much so that we have to take a step back and just look at the big picture the industry is in today.

“This is by far the hardest event we have to do judge in the history of the PIXI Awards.”
