Soar launches HP digital technology

The evening featured a live production run of the press along with a presentation from Rob West, HP channel manager Southeast Asia and Australasia, demonstrating to Soars’ customers how to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of their marketing spend.

Fred Soar introduced the evening and conducted the draw for the lucky winner for a weekend for 2 at the Hotel Du Vin. He spoke about the company’s investment in the HP3050 and the benefits it will provide for customers.

“Having invested in the latest Heidelberg CD74 and aqueous coating technology for our medium and long runs, we recognised the demand from our existing clients for smaller – on demand print runs and variable data printing features,” Soar said.

“We spent time both here and overseas visiting sites that were using different forms of digital printing technology. In the end, we settled on Hewlett Packard’s Indigo technology for the following reasons

“1 – This press is an offset press that uses electro liquid inks – not toner based like other digital printing devices, hence the quality of print is better.

“2 – Hewlett Packard has a good integrated Web product, printable, allowing online forms design and ordering.

“3 – The personalisation and variable data printing features are second to none “

AM International are the agents for HP Indigo technology here in New Zealand.
