Southern Colour rebrands to show stability and strength

The printer, a Heidelberg house with 76 staff in Keysborough, Melbourne and 40 in St Leonards, Sydney, is sending out the new marketing collateral this week and has launched a new website.

Managing director Rod Dawson told ProPrint: “We wanted to show a long-term commitment to the industry, to our staff, our suppliers and our customers.

“All of this rebrand is about those three stakeholders. We wanted to show them that we are progressive, and that we are not sitting on our hands. At a time when it is difficult for a lot of people in the industry, we feel it is a really positive message to give,” he added.

Dawson said the new image would show how different the Southern Colour of today was from the company he took over in a management buyout nine years ago.

The new logo is on show prominently across the inside and outside of the Melbourne site while the new corporate identity is currently being rolled out in Sydney.

The corporate identity was designed by ERD Communications. The website was developed internally and all collateral, other than signage, t-shirts and embellishments, was produced in-house.

It caps a positive few days for Southern Colour, which took home a hat-trick of gold medals at the NSW PICA awards
