Spicers makes major soft signage move

Spicers is becoming an Australian and New Zealand distributor of Decoprint for French inkjet fabric maker DHJ International, continuing its expansion into the soft signage market.

Decoprint coated inkjet fabrics are made of polyester and suitable for latex, solvent, UV and disperse dye inks. The range can be used for indoor and short-term outdoor applications.

Spicers will take over the regional representation of the product from previous Queensland distributor, Nicholls Technologies.

Chris Lewis-Williams, national sales manager – sign and display consumables with Spicers, says, “Spicers’ national sales and distribution footprint, which includes nine warehouses and a sales team of more than fifty, means that we can ensure that everyone will know about Decoprint and be able to get it from their local Spicers warehouse.

“The soft signage market is really gaining momentum in Australia. Our partnership with Decoprint means Spicers and our customers will be able to secure their share of this exciting, dynamic market.”

Spicers currently has five grades in stock. Diamond, a luxury application, is used generally for indoor banners, flags, in-store displays and decorations. Diamond Adhesive includes all the qualities of Diamond, but with an adhesive backing. Silver is also suitable for indoor signs, with a shimmer effect.

A heavyweight canvas, Grain is suited for art reproduction and indoor wall murals. Wrinkle-resistant Pearl can be used for backlit applications and point of purchase displays.

Spicers says the range has been tested on many printers, and free sample swatches are available.
