Spicers rolls out 3M wide format

Spicers will partner with 3M to supply a range of materials for screen, wide and grand format printing in its sign and display sector. Ken Booth, general manager of Spicers Australia, says the partnership will open access to 3M Australia’s digital range, along with reflectives and vinyl, as Spicers looks to expand its presence in the growing market. He says, “The notable thing about 3M is that when they see a good idea, they investigate it, they do not just leave it on the shelf.

“It is that curious nature that inspires 3M’s creative inventions that make life better, and therefore promises some exciting prospects for Spicers Sign and Display.” The country’s second biggest paper merchant has been in the wide format game for a while but mostly provided hardware, software and consumables – making the partnership a major push into a growing market. He says 3M is a fundamentally science-based company, responsible for a number of internally recognised brands, and Spicers hopes to tap into this to bring a more varied product offering to its customers. He says, “Working with 3M will open up our range enormously and customers will be the major beneficiaries of this agreement, with access to such a renowned range in conjunction with Spicers exemplary service and support.” Part of a diversified international company, 3M is a significant player in Australia, notably providing the film for the ASGA Wrap Masters National Challenge car wrapping competition, set to wrap up at September’s Visual Impact in Sydney.
