Stora Enso in top 100 most sustainable companies

The company claims it is considered among the best in class in the forest products industry in managing environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities.

Jouko Karvinen, CEO of Stora Enso says, “I am very proud that the efforts of the Stora Enso team to keep sustainability right at the heart of our agenda, even in the very challenging operating environment our industry faces, have been recognised. This will encourage us all to strive for even further improvement.”

The Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World was initiated by Corporate Knights an independent Canadian-based media company, with Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, an international investment research firm in 2005.

The 100 top sustainability performers are chosen from the MSCI World Index of some 1,800 publicly-traded companies. The Global 100 is announced each year at the Wold Economic Forum in Davos.
