StylePrint snaps up second Tiger press

Andrew Woodhouse, who heads production at StylePrint says, “Our customers do not just ask us for print, they specify ‘Tiger prints.’ A Tiger print is becoming a new definition in Australia. The ability to offer our clients photo quality as well as variable data is what our business is all about—opening up new opportunities for our customers.”

The :M-Press Tiger is a huge machine, capable of pumping out 770sqm of digitally printed output an hour, with no makeready, on stock from 100gsm paper to 10mm board, using just 25 per cent of the ink necessary for screen printing.

Also commenting, Tom Cloots, Agfa’s business unit manager for :M-Press says, “StylePrint is a true digital pioneer in screen printing. Their success is pleasing to us because it is additional confirmation that :M-Press delivers the results for which it was designed.”

According to Agfa, the :M-Press Tiger can print up to 700sqm per hour including loading and unloading, with no make ready, films or screens. It can handle substrates up to 10 mm thick. It features a colour gamut better than ISO coated V2, the offset gamut. It also enables variable data printing.

Michael Woodhouse, a director at StylePrint says, “Agfa’s M-Press Tiger is the first true production digital machine that really bridges the gap between speed and quality. It is economical and the quality is unbeatable. It’s been designed in a way that mimics screen systems, so it suits operations like ours precisely.” He adds, “Digital does not require screens, films, chemistry and water, so it is easy for us to be more environmentally responsible.”

Employing 60 people, StylePrint, specialises in posters, point-of-sale (POS), indoor and outdoor displays.
